Forest Witch Lore

Of all stories I've written so far, this series uses the most of the lore in my world. While most of my other stories take place on a faraway planet, Forest Witch takes place on the human homeworld: Alerin. Unlike most sapient creatures in the universe, the Beserans (women with dicks) were created by the Sorcerian Empire as an accident. They were on a road to immortality that involved numerous inhumane experiments. One of those resulted in a race of long-living feminine humans with both sets of genitals.

Initially, they were seen as a failure. But when they learned of the Beseran's unnatural strength and endurance, they were enslaved. A lot of tragic events happened during that time, which I will skip over for now. Eventually, the Beserans escaped and fled into the forests to the south of the empire. The home of the Leshlin (another race created by the Sorcerians).

Between the time of their escape and the time of the Forest Witch, one of them ended up writing a book called A Hero's Misfortune to express how she felt Beserans should be in society. The people at the top of the pecking order so to say. She even coined the term Beseran, which was named after the ancient hermaphrodite demoness, Besera.

That story, though a heavily biased story based on real events, shaped their entire culture. Eventually, it led to the formation of Covens. In order for Beserans to live free, they must phase out the inferior people: men. Transform, control, dominate became their creed. The Coven's duty is to lure men to their hideaways and transform them into women. Then, enslave them to increase their numbers and force humanity to rely on them for reproduction.

This is when the Forest Witch comes into place. Olivia is tasked with that responsibility, but stops after the transformation. Instead of continuing on to enslaving, she gives the new women the choice to be with her. Forest Witch is about the first human who chose to be with her.
